How to avoid order cancellations?
At Smood, we implement automatic cancellations when an order is not viewed within the allotted time. This helps prevent delivery delays and ensures a great customer experience.
To avoid cancellations, follow these best practices:
- Keep your tablet turned on and make sure the Smood Restaurant app is open on the orders screen.
- Enable sound to hear the notification for new orders.
- Check your internet connection to prevent interruptions in order reception.
How Does Automatic Cancellation Work?
An order is canceled only if it has not been viewed within the time limit.
Viewing an order commits you to preparing it within the required time.
If inactivity is detected on an order:
1. An automated call is triggered to your phone line as a reminder.
2. An informational badge appears on the tablet with a countdown before cancellation.
3. If the order is still not viewed after this period, it is automatically canceled.
⚠ If an order is canceled due to inactivity, your establishment will be temporarily closed on Smood until its next scheduled opening the following day. You can, however, reopen your establishment from the tablet.
