How to Set an Emergency Cosure or Take a Break During Service?
Pause Your Orders in Case of Unexpected Events
A kitchen issue? A last-minute problem? Can’t take orders temporarily?
Use the pause system available to you to stop receiving new orders. During this time, your establishment will appear as closed but will remain visible to customers, allowing them to schedule pre-orders.
How to Stop Taking Orders from Your Tablet?
1️. Open the side menu and click on "Pause New Orders."
2. Choose the closure duration: from 15 minutes to the entire day.
3. Indicate the reason for the closure to keep a record. If selecting "Other," you can enter a custom message.
4. Confirm the pause:
If no orders are in progress, a full-screen alert will indicate that your orders are paused.
If orders are in progress, a red banner at the top of the screen will display the interruption message.
How to Stop Taking Orders from Your Smood Manager Portal?
1. Go to the "Closures" section.
2. Add a closure period by selecting the reason "Emergency Closure."
3. Add a description (optional) and enter the end time.
4. Validate: just like on the tablet, the closure cannot exceed 24 hours.
Resuming Orders
The pause will automatically disable at the end of the selected duration.
You can also manually resume orders:
- From your tablet, by clicking "Resume Orders" from the alert or side menu.
- From your Smood Manager Portal, by deleting the closure.
Once reactivated, your establishment will be open to customers again.
Use these features to manage unexpected situations without affecting your visibility!
